AirPcap is the open, affordable and easy to deploy WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n) packet capture solution for the Windows platform. AirPcap comes as a USB 2.0 adapter and is fully integrated with WinPcap and Wireshark: it enables you to capture and analyze 802.11a/b/g/n wireless traffic, including control frames, management frames and power information, using Wireshark on your Windows laptop. What's New - Added support to disable monitor mode and acknowledge the received packets. - Added experimental installation support for Windows 7. - Added a new sample showing how to use BPF filters with airpcap and libpcap. - Bug fixing: + Fixed a bug by which 802.11b packets with a short preamble were reported with the wrong rate by AirPcap Ex. + Properly report DL-OFDM packets with AirPcap Nx. + Properly report that AirPcap Nx does not allow setting the transmission power. How to Upgrade Do NOT insert your USB adapter before upgrading the software. 1. If you have a previous version of the AirPcap Software Distribution already installed in your system, uninstall it by clicking on: Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs >> AirPcap Software 2. Double-click on setup_airpcap_4_1.exe. 3. Follow the instruction on the screen, and plug the adapter when requested.
