Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to become a member of the SDMS (http://www.cacetech.com/products/sdms.html) team.
The candidate will be responsible for the design development of key parts of a distributed network monitoring platform.
The candidate should be able to work with limited supervision, and should have proven experience in high performance code development under Windows and Unix.
Good knowledge of networking protocols is required as well.
The job location is Davis, California.
Responsibilities Include
- Write client-server code for a scalable distributed monitoring system
- Create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly
- Develop code to parse and analyze wireless and wired network protocols
- Design and implement views that display network performance metrics
Skills/Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Extensive, proven programming experience in C/C++ (strong OO skills preferred)
- Demonstrable understanding of high-performance code development strategies
- Strong knowledge of network protocols
- Must have worked on at least one complex software engineering project in the past
- Experience with developing portable code
- Excellent analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills

The candidate will work with a team of talented engineers to develop one of the most advanced network monitoring tools available on the market, using her/his knowledge of C/C++.

Responsibilities Include
- Increase domestic market share for our SDMS product family and services within assigned enterprise accounts.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
- Create and execute a plan to develop business for products with assigned channel partner accounts and develop new channel partners.
- Identify opportunities for new business expansion into emerging markets and communicate resource needs to address these opportunities.
- Affect change where required to resolve business needs with the end result in mind and with a high level of persistence to overcome challenges.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and sales techniques.
- Prepare forecasting reports and make recommendations to upper management team.

- Develop comprehensive sales and marketing training programs for focused channel partners.

Position Description
We are seeking an experienced, high-tech software and hardware Sales Representative for our Inside Sales Department. In this position you will identify prospect needs, advise potential customers on product options, and sell solutions to existing customers and warm leads. We will provide training and on-going support to ensure you become a successful member of the CACE sales group. As a Sales Representative, your goal will be to increase our customer base by converting prospects into purchasers of our technology.
Responsibilities Include
- Make a high volume of outbound sales calls daily to existing leads
- Close sales with a fast turnaround on each lead
- Manage assigned leads and be creative in generating your own
- Maintain relationships with customers and generate referral sales
- Research and generate new leads
- Enter all account information, correspondence and opportunities into Sugar customer relationship management database consistently and accurately
- Daily pipeline building
- Develop leads, identify customer needs and sell appropriate products and services
- Establish client relationships and follow up with customers
- Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about CACE products
Skills/Qualifications
- 3-5 years software and hardware sales experience with proven sales success
- BA/BS degree a must
- Knowledge of the network analysis market a must
- Highly-organized, self-directed and efficient
- Ability to consistently hit established sales goals
- Resourceful and flexible; able to adapt to changing priorities and preserve a positive attitude
- Clear and confident communicator - a warm, professional phone manner and excellent grammatical and writing skills
