Wireshark was a recipient of InfoWorld’s 2007 BOSSIE award in the network protocol analysis category. The BOSSIE (Best of Open Source Software) was created by InfoWorld in order to recognize outstanding open source applications. It identifies OSS applications that strongly benefit IT organizations.

Wireshark developers and users are cordially invited to 3 days of communing, training, and sharing Wireshark experiences at the first annual SHARKFEST, the Wireshark User’s and Developer’s conference hosted by CACE Technologies. SHARKFEST will be held March 31 to April 2, 2008 at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA.
