Let the (SHARK)Fest Begin!
On the heels of the 10th Anniversary of the Wireshark Open Source Project,
CACE Technologies gleefully announces the official launch of registration for
the second annual conference for Wireshark developers and users - SHARKFEST
’09.
Taking place at the magnificent main campus of Stanford University June 15 –
18, 2009, SHARKFEST ’09 promises to be another landmark event dedicated to
encouraging and furthering the cooperative development effort and education
around Wireshark, the world’s most widely deployed network and protocol
analyzer.
This page will be updated on an ongoing basis as conference details are
determined. Please check back frequently for new information. We will also be
hosting a separate registration page that will allow us to gather relevant
information on SHARKFEST ’09 attendees to insure the best possible experience
for all.
Registration
Registration for SHARKFEST ‘09 begins September 2, 2008, with Early Registrant
pricing in place through January 2009. Anticipating growth in
attendee count, but facing space limitations, SHARKFEST ’09 attendance will be
limited, so early registration is recommended.
Fees
Early Registration (before January 31, 2009): $595 USD
Standard Registration (after January 31): $695 USD
Groups of 3 or more from the same company/institution can receive a 10% discount
Educators from accredited academic institutions: 50% off applicable registration.

The conference schedule will include 3 separate tracks (Developer, Wireshark
Basic Education, Wireshark Advanced) over 3 days:

Also planned are breakout sessions and roundtables for power users, enterprise
groups, and more. A conference schedule will be linked to this page soon.
Hotels
The Sheraton/Weston Palo Alto has set aside a block of rooms for the
conference at a rate of $229 USD + tax. Shuttle service will be provided to
the Stanford campus from the hotel. To find out more about the hotel and

CACE is in the process of compiling a broader list of hotels convenient to the
conference location and offering a range of rates. Please watch this page for
